The PhySec Collective in partnership with AccessGrid analyzed every Reddit post and comment from the /r/accesscontrol community over the past six months. Using brand-specific keywords, such as “Signo” for HID, we identified which brands were mentioned and measured their performance across several key factors. These included how frequently each brand appeared in discussions, the overall sentiment of those mentions on a scale from 1 to 100, and how users rated both the quality of support and the ease of installation, each also scored from 1 to 100.

To consolidate these insights, we developed a weighted composite metric called the Global Score. Brands with fewer than ten mentions were excluded to maintain data reliability. Each factor was carefully weighted to reflect what matters most in daily operations—usability, reliability, and satisfaction.

The outcome is a single, easy-to-understand score that enables organizations to confidently compare leading physical access control system (PACS) brands based on real-world user experience.
